Terron Armstead

Terron Armstead is an All-Pro left tackle and captain for the New Orleans Saints. Before entering his professional career, Terron started for the Cahokia High School football team in Cahokia, Illinois all four years, leading the team in 2009 to its best season in the school’s history. He was also the captain of the school’s track and field team and won an Illinois state championship in shot put. During his college career at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Terron was a 4-year starting left tackle for the Golden Lions football team and a 9-time track conference champion and All American. Mr. Armstead has been recognized for his physical capacity and capabilities on several occasions. He was selected for the NFL Pro-Bowl in 2018 and 2019, and was honored for his work off the field in 2019 when he was named the New Orleans Saints Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Kimiante Brown

Mrs. Kimiante Brown is the wife of Armonte Brown and the mother of two beautiful children, Kade and Kyce. Mrs. Brown graduated from Cahokia High School in Cahokia, IL in 2006. She went on to further her education in Business Administration at Purdue University Global, graduating magna cum laude in 2015.

Kimiante is the Vice President of The Armstead Foundation, which was established in 2015. She plays a significant role in the advancement of the foundation’s vision by successfully organizing several community events throughout the year in various communities. These events include multiple coat & toy drives, providing meals for families during the Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday season, and one the foundation’s staple events, the “Team Armstead” youth football camp each summer.

Mrs. Brown continues to show her love, support, and dedication for these communities by managing the extensive day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the foundation. She is currently overseeing the planning and construction of the future “Armstead Center”, a state of the art facility located in Cahokia, IL. This building will serve as the headquarters for the Armstead Foundation, along with several other programs to serve the community.

Mrs. Brown does all of these things with a big heart, a contagious smile, and open arms, while also playing the role of a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Through her loyalty to family, friends, and the Team Armstead Foundation, Kimiante continues to fulfill the mission of the foundation, positively impacting the lives of people and communities everywhere she serves.


Dewey Houston

Dewey Houston believes that by investing in children we grow our community’s future stability and financial resilience across generations.  He is a native of Cahokia, Illinois, where he excelled both academically and athletically at Cahokia High School. As a result, he received a college athletic scholarship at the University of Kansas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics.  He also earned a certification in Application Development from Vatterott College (MO). Currently he is a candidate for a Master of Education degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He is also a former assistant football coach at Cahokia High School.
